The WABC Thunder Jingles
There was a brief chapter in WABC jingle history in 1974 when "Thunder Productions" recorded the WABC jingles.
Thunder was a division of the William B. Tanner Company from Memphis. Tanner invented Thunder since they knew they needed to record in Dallas to land big accounts like WABC. Thunder jingles were used on WABC in 1974, some of which were imitations of PAMS cuts that the station had stopped paying rights for. Thunder disappeared by mid 1975.
