By 1976 WABC was a legendary radio station.
It had a long history of big ratings and had a big impact on which songs would
become hits.
That got the attention of The Wall Street Journal!
They did a front page story about Program Director Rick Sklar and WABC.

Frank Kingston Smith

Frank was at WABC from 1971 to 1974.
He worked weekends and was the primary fill in DJ over those years.
He had a long radio career at many great stations like WFIL/Philadelphia and
WRKO/Boston (as "Bobby Mitchell").
Frank's first WABC show will be featured this Saturday on the Rewound Radio DJ Hall of Fame!
