Bob Cruz on WABC
March 13, 1976
Yes, Bob did sound like Dan Ingram!
Program Director Rick Sklar thought so too... and "Bob Morgan" from Florida
became "Bob Cruz" on WABC in New York.
Bob was hired in 1976 for the overnight show and is generally considered to be the last DJ hired when a new WABC DJ was still big news.
He went on to do afternoons on WABC when Dan moved to mornings
in 1979.
Later, he became an ABC Network announcer.
Scott Benjamin
